Come to the Penn Undergraduate Media and Entertainment Club‘s 2nd annual Penn Film Festival! There will be free screening of 6 short films and 2 featured films “Life Itself” and “Mommy”! The event will have free Johnson’s popcorn!

There’s a Pic Productions – A student, non-profit, and short film production company founded by Theresa Picciallo in 2012.

Penn M&E Week was founded by Undergraduate Media & Entertainment (UME) Club and Alpha Kappa Psi because the media and entertainment industries have historically been underrepresented on campus. Join us for this annual series of events that connects Penn students to the game-changers and movers and shakers of the media and entertainment industries. ESPN – a U.S.-based global cable and satellite television channel that is owned by ESPN Inc., a joint venture between The Walt Disney Company and Hearst Corporation. – A web portal presenting news about the Philadelphia region in association with the Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News.

Neighborhood Film Company creates content for clients such as Nike, Anthropologie, and Comcast. They use their work to train adults in recovery for competitive employment.

Creative Arts Agency (CAA) – CAA is the top talent agency in the world, representing A-list talent and athletes including Matt Bomer, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Cate Blanchett, Jennifer Lawrence, Natalie Portman, and David Beckham.

Cinetic Media – a New York-based film and media company that, since its founding in 2001, has provided an exclusive group of entertainment clients with advisory services in every aspect of development and operations related to motion pictures. The firm specializes in film finance, sales, distribution, talent management, and corporate consulting, occupying a unique position in the film industry as representatives of marquee talent at the intersection of financing and distribution.

Nickelodeon – Nickelodeon is an American basic cable and satellite television network that is owned by the MTV Networks Kids & Family Group, a unit of the Viacom Media Networks division of Viacom

Kick back before finals, watch movies, and meet film directors at UME’s first Film Festival this weekend! The Penn Film Fest is a celebration of the creative talent currently being fostered at Penn, and will be showcasing pre-screenings of critically acclaimed movies featured at other prominent film festivals like Sundance. The features include Obvious Child, Catch of the Day, and Memphis. In addition, the Film Fest will include a mix of professional, independent, and student made films from NYU, UMiami and Ithaca. Wendy Finerman Speaker Event

UME is proud to announce that Wendy Finerman (W ’82), the Academy Award winning producer of Forrest Gump, is coming to speak at Penn! In addition to Forrest Gump, Ms. Finerman also produced films such as The Devil Wears Prada and P.S. I Love You.

Join us at 5:30 PM on Thursday, October 24th in Claudia Cohen G17 to hear Ms. Finerman speak about her career in the entertainment industry!
